Handicap/Asian Handicap Betting

Handicap betting involves giving one team a deficit which they must overcome at the beginning of a match. Conversely, you can also choose to give an underdog a virtual headstart which they must hold on to. For example, if you were to select Team A -1, Team A must win by 2 or more goals in order for the selection to win. A selection of Team B +2 means that the team must not lost by more than 1 goal for the bet to be successful (if they were to lose by 2, the amended outcome would be a draw and thus the selection would lose in normal handicap betting).

Asian handicap differs from normal handicap betting in that it eliminates the possibility of there being a draw, by offering a refund for selections that result in draws. As such, the odds offered for Asian handicap betting will be lower than the odds for normal handicap betting. It is best summarised by the following table:
